London Regional Cytology Training Centre

World class training for cancer screening healthcare professionals
NHS

Welcome

The Training Centre was founded by Dr Elizabeth Hudson in 1979.

We changed our name to the London Regional Cytology Training Centre (LRCTC) in 2002.

We have high quality teaching facilities which meet the needs of a whole range of health care professionals. For all professionals in cellular pathology we provide the new Nikon Eclipse Ci-S professional model  microscopes with ergonomic heads, a multiheader discussion Olympus B50x microscope with capacity for up to nineteen students for the practical components to our cytology courses.

We are situated in the St Marks building at Northwick Park Hospital, which is part of the London North West Healthcare NHS Trust.

Thank you for visiting our web site.

Mission Statement

The ethos of LRCTC is to provide high quality whole pathway cancer screening training for healthcare professionals in London and the Southeast.

It has full NHSCSP Cervical Cytology Training Centre accreditation and delivers this training by formal courses, web-based learning and tuition day activities.
